Diamond turning inserts

A diamond insert is a standard-shaped insert with a single crystal diamond brazed at the cutting corner. It fits the tool holder you already use, so you change to a mirror finish by changing the insert. Bulunmaz makes inserts in MCD and natural diamond, in common insert shapes or to your drawing.

What we make

  • Inserts with a sharp corner or with a defined corner radius
  • Inserts for face cutters and fly cutters

Who we supply

Bulunmaz makes and supplies diamond inserts for workshops and factories that run their own machines. We do not machine parts for customers.

Common questions

What is the difference between an MCD insert and a PCD insert?
A PCD insert has a layer of many small diamond grains and is built for long tool life. An MCD insert has one single diamond crystal and is built for the finest surface.
Will it fit my holder?
Send us the insert code you use today and we'll confirm the fit before quoting.
Can inserts be resharpened?
Yes, the diamond edge can be relapped.
