Diamond turning tools
A diamond turning tool carries one single crystal diamond with one cutting edge. On a lathe it leaves a bright, smooth surface in the final pass, so the part needs no polishing afterwards. Bulunmaz makes these tools in natural diamond and MCD, as standard shapes or to your drawing.

- What is a diamond turning tool?
- A lathe tool with a single crystal diamond cutting edge, used for the final bright pass on non-ferrous metals and plastics.
- Natural diamond or MCD?
- Both give a mirror finish. Which is better depends on your material and the shape of the edge. Tell us the job and we'll recommend one.
- Can it be resharpened?
- Yes. A worn edge is relapped and the tool is used again, usually several times.
